    HFCS Review

Where do I even begin, maybe with the fact that I wouldn't give this review the time of day considering who it's for, I'll be honest I'm only doing it to enter the draw for the free iPad. I'll start with the Education & Learning; honestly, it's so poor I'm surprised people still attend this school after so many years, the teachers do NOT help the students at all, they read ready-made notes and often ignore students when they have questions or make a smart remark toward the student. It's no surprise that most of the students that attend this school often move on to do very little with their lives. Totally unacceptable. Now I'll move onto Staff & Teachers ... where did they even hire them from, you could tell a crackhead from Jervis that you'll give them a fiver and they'd probably do a better job at teaching than the actual teachers, and their attitude, not even an ounce of professionalism in them, always making jokes or talking about the match yesterday during class, in fact, it takes up most of the class time for some of the teachers. And when it comes to really serious times, like when a student needs to talk to the teacher about something personal, the teachers put on this show that they care deeply about the student and they'll do everything in their might to resolve the problem, honestly, a stripper, my bad; an exotic dancer (trying to not offend anybody) do a better job at listening to your problems and comforting you. Theres one teacher, I'm not even sure she's a teacher or not, well she had her own office and all, so I assume she could "teach" something, but anyways, my friends, class, year and I all collectively agreed that she had to be on some hard substance every day she was coming into the school. So, if you do decide to send your children to this school, or if you are one of those children and you're reading this, please avoid her for the best. Alright, now the IT department, can I even call it a department? It's just one teacher "working" there. Honestly, gave no help at all, emails and passwords were a pain and the IT "department" made it an even worse, so yeah, try to sort out your IT problems before the IT "department" makes them worse. I'll move onto Safety & Security, I'll keep this brief, all the entrance/exit gates have absolutely NOBODY watching them, meaning if somebody really wanted to sneak in, they would have no trouble in doing so, also, there is no security inside either, just for clarification. Oh I almost forgot to mention safety, there is the odd wire hanging around the school which may or not be a live wire ( I never tried finding out ) so please avoid them, and the technology, woodwork and metalwork rooms are even worse, during classes, the teachers are barely paying attention while the students in the back are having the time of their lives cutting random pieces of wood, metal and plastic with saws and rotary blades and things of such nature, I personally seen a couple of lads doing some questionable things with the air compressor in the technology room, I'm not going to delve into it but you know what I mean. I'm finally onto the indoor environment, truth be told, it was an absolute pig sty, those cramped rooms with windows that open an inch were one of the most rotten experiences of my life, they would become super hot during the summer with barely any way of letting the heat out and during the winter you would have to wear at least 3 jackets to keep warm, and there was always these weird stains on the floors, ceilings and walls in EVERY room in the school, and not to mention all the rooms smelled foul. My father, a great man let me tell you, he can handle most environments with ease, but the dreadful day came when he had to attend a PTM on a harsh, cold, November evening. When my father came back, he said that he's never seen classrooms so dirty, small and smelly in his life. He said he couldn't believe he was sending me to a school so rancid, but he couldn't do much about it, since it was the last year i was there anyways. What about the Outdoor Environment, let's see, I mean it was alright, there was two basketball courts and plenty of asphalt to share with your classmates. Now, Food & Meals, non-existent, there wasn't even a common area for students to sit down and eat their lunch, everyone (apart from the teachers, obviously) had to eat in the classrooms (adding to the stink). I would expect a school with the amount of government funding this school got to at least prepare some lunch for their students, but instead, we had to go down to the village and buy some overpriced junk that would still leave us hungry for the rest of the day, or you could bring food from home, whatever tickles your fancy (is that even a saying? I honestly don't even know but it sounds like it would be). Second lastly, School Information, to be fair to the school, they do have a lot of information on their website, but honestly, they only put the "good" things there, they missed everything i mentioned earlier. Finally, Activities, my fingers and my brain are going numb after having to write and think about this school so much, but anyways, there wasn't a lot of activities to do around the school, if you did want to be a part of something, you had to make sure you were part of it from the BEGINNING, most clubs and societies would not let you join at all, unless your good mates with the teachers in charge of them (which is incredibly hard because of my previous points), since there was a lack of activities people could join, most of the lads would resort to making the school ground a war zone as their own "activity", I remember there would be times when the microwaves and kettles would have stink bombs in them and the poor 5th year would turn them on, good times, but we had to evacuate the building, not to mention, the staff would dump maybe 2-3 bottles of Febreeze so i honestly didn't know what was going to kill me first, the Febreeze or the stink bomb. And I do think that Febreeze got into some of the lad's heads, because every year at least once or twice, one of them thinks its a good idea to urinate in the sinks with the drain closed, shove a chicken fillet roll down a urinal, shove fecal matter down a urinal, or smear said fecal matter across the bathroom wall. I just keep thinking about the poor cleaners, absolutely didn't deserve the payload. All in all, do not come here, thanks for listening (reading) to my TED Talk.
