Coláiste na Ríochta

I can genuinely say that moving to Coláiste na Ríochta was one of the best decisions I ever made. I joined the school during First Year, having transferred from a much larger school, and I still remember how nervous I was walking in on my first day, knowing absolutely nobody. However, from the very beginning, both the staff and students made me feel so welcome, and it wasn’t long before I felt like I belonged. One thing that really stands out about Coláiste na Ríochta is the relationship between students and teachers. You’re not just another number here. The teachers genuinely care about you, not only academically but personally too. They’re always willing to listen, offer advice and encourage you to get involved in things you might never have considered doing before. Throughout my time here, I’ve been given opportunities I never imagined I’d have, from representing the school at different events to taking part in Erasmus+ exchanges, getting involved in the Student Council and helping with school publications and activities. These experiences have helped me grow in confidence, develop new skills and make memories that I’ll carry with me long after I leave. What I particularly love about the school is that there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re interested in sport, technology, music, leadership or simply trying something new, you’re encouraged to get involved and make the most of your time here. Of course, like any school, it isn’t perfect, but what makes Coláiste na Ríochta special is the sense of community. Looking back at the nervous First Year student who walked through the doors knowing nobody, I honestly couldn’t have imagined how much this school would shape me as a person. I’m now in my final year, and while I’ll certainly miss the people and the atmosphere, I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities, friendships and support I’ve received. Coláiste na Ríochta hasn’t just been a place where I’ve received my education, it’s been a place where I’ve grown as a person, found my confidence and felt part of something bigger. I couldn’t recommend Coláiste na Ríochta enough.
